Kyustendil and the Hisarlaka fortress
Kyustendil is a small town in the western Bulgaria. You can get there on a bus from Sofia in less than two hours. The place is famous for its mineral baths, functioning from the Roman times (as the famous thermae of Pautalia and the temple of Asclepios) to our days.
Right outside of the city, on the hilltop, stands the Hisarlaka fortress built in the end of the IV century.
